Stock Markets Hits Record Highs as Fed Interest Rate Cut Bets Shift

As per The Street, the S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow Jones Industrial Average responded extremely positive to Fed Chair Jerome Powell's comments at Jackson Hole, WY on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1.9% to a record all-time high.

S&P 500: 6,467, up 1.5%
Nasdaq Composite: 21,497, up 1.9%
Dow Jones Industrial Average: 45,632, up 1.9%
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq surged 1.5% and 1.9% on Aug. 22 after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell made encouragingly dovish comments at the Fed's annual meeting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Most of Wall Street expects the Fed to cut interest rates at its next meeting in September.
