A member of a flight crew was detained at Boston's Logan International Airport on Thursday evening (February 20) just before a flight to Paris. Jeremy Gudorf, 33, from Ohio, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) identified an active warrant from North Carolina during a standard review of the flight manifest.
Massachusetts State Police responded to CBP's request for assistance at 8:40 p.m. and took Gudorf into custody. He was transported to the barracks for booking.
According to WCVB, Gudorf was arraigned in East Boston District Court on a single charge of second-degree sex exploitation of a minor.
"He is a commercial pilot, the warrant is out of North Carolina, and he resides in Ohio. So for those reasons, we ask he be held without bail and surrender his passport," said prosecutor Kyle Neyman.
"He does have the financial capacity to rent a car and drive to North Carolina," his defense attorney, Tanby Verma, told the court. "He has assured me he will do that."
A judge set his bail at $10,000 with the condition that he make his way to North Carolina by next Tuesday to face the charge against him.
