The trailer for the Prime Video game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity? hosted by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was released on Tuesday (October 1).

The clip shows Kelce dancing and interacting with celebrities and guests on the rebooted version of the iconic FOX game show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?. The show will premiere with three episodes on October 16, followed by one new episode every Wednesday.

Celebrity participants will include comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer and Ron Funches; former NFL stars Chad Ochocino and Ryan Fitzpatrick; Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules actress Lala Kent; podcaster Sophia Stallone; and comedic actress Lilly Singh.

“‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ offers a fun, new twist on the premise of the original popular format. Each game will welcome an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of celebrities from comedy, screen, and sports to help them answer 11 questions on a range of subjects pulled from elementary curriculum in an effort to win a $100,000 prize. They are not competing against the stars…they’re enlisting their help and, in some cases, can even ‘cheat’ off of them. And on the final question, worth $100,000, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in. The final question is always at the 6th-grade level," the show's logline states via Variety.

Kelce, 34, was officially announced as the host of the upcoming Prime Video gameshow, Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?, on April 16.

"The man with the answers. Travis Kelce will host ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A CELEBRITY? Coming soon to Prime Video," Prime Video wrote on its X account, along with a photo of Kelce.

The confirmation came nearly a full month after reports that Kelce was in talks to host a "celebrity-focused" reboot of the game show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? for the streaming platform, two sources familiar with the situation confirmed to Variety.com on March 19.

Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion and one of the NFL's all-time greatest tight ends, has emerged as arguably the biggest star in the league over the past year, having hosted Saturday Night Live last March and been featured in numerous commercials throughout the football season prior to his heavily publicized relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift. Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? ran on FOX with host Jeff Foxworthy for three consecutive seasons beginning in 2007 and later returned for a fourth season in 2015, while a newer version for Nickelodeon was hosted by wrestling legend turned actor John Cena in 2019.

Several other NFL stars have hosted game show reboots including Pro Football Hall of Famers Michael Strahan on the modern version of $100,000 Pyramid for ABC and Peyton Manning on College Bowl for NBC and Peacock.
