(Sussex County, DE) -- A referendum to build and improve schools in the Indian River District has failed. The measure was defeated by voters yesterday. It called for funding to build a new Sussex Central High School and for additions to Indian River High and Selbyville Middle School. A proposal for current funding was also shot down. Officials are considering another referendum later this year.
