Investigators say a man was struck by a police cruiser as he tried to elude a traffic stop on foot Friday. Wilmington police say 25-year-old Devante Lloyd was pulled over on North Broom and West Fifth Streets Friday around 2:50 p.m. when he escaped on foot. Police say as Lloyd was running, he was struck by a police car assisting with the chase near the 14-hundred block of West Fifth Street. Lloyd is in Christiana Hospital in stable condition. Authorities say Lloyd is wanted for violating parole in Pennsylvania.
