The Brandywine Valley SPCA is getting rid of what was once a crematory incinerator at their Georgetown location to make room for a new community center. The campus is a no-kill shelter and officials say the crematorium hasn't been used since they moved into the location last July. Come summertime, the site will be a place for birthday parties, camps and other educational activities. The shelter reports they have a 96 percent alive release rate.
