A Middletown police officer is injured after his car rolled upside down while on the way to the scene of an accident. The officer was responding to a report of a pedestrian struck yesterday afternoon around 2:00 when a car collided with the police cruiser on East Main Street.
The police car overturned and landed on the hood of another car. The officer and driver of the car it collided with were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The pedestrian involved in the separate accident was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are investigating the crash.
