Judge Convicts Two of Three Girls in Classmate's Death

(Wilmington, DE)----A Family Court judge has convicted two of three teens charged in last April’s death of 16-year-old Amy Joyner-Francis.  Judge Robert Coonin found 17-year-old Trinity Carr guilty of criminally negligent homicide and 17-year-old Zion Snow guilty of criminal conspiracy.  Chakiera Wright was found not guilty of criminal conspiracy.  The judge described Joyner-Francis’ death as an “attack”, not a fight between two teenagers.  He says Carr struck the first blow without warning.  The deadly encounter occurred in a bathroom at Howard High School of Technology where all four girls were students.
