World Cup Champ Carli Lloyd Drills 55-Yard Field Goal During NFL Practice

U.S. soccer star and two-time World Cup Champion Carli Lloyd got a chance to show off her skills to some NFL players when she stopped by the Philadelphia Eagles joint practice with the Baltimore Ravens.

After the teams had finished practicing, Lloyd took to the field and tried her luck kicking some field goals. Lloyd started out hitting a few short field goals before trying a 55-yarder. Lloyd drilled the kick through the uprights without any trouble at all.

She shared a video of the long field goal on Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

"Thank you to the @Eagles for having me out! Thanks to @JustinTuck@jake_elliott22@MayorRandyBrown for the good time and tips!" #55yd"

The impressive kick was noticed by NFL Hall of Famer Gil Brandt, who suggested that NFL teams should give her a tryout if she were ever willing to make a career switch.

"Honestly, I don't think it will be long before we see a woman break through this NFL barrier. I'd give her an honest tryout if I were, say, the Bears," he wrote on Twitter.

While Lloyd, who is a life-long Eagles fan, may have the skills to be the first woman to play in the NFL, she has seen plenty of success playing soccer. In addition to helping the U.S. Women's Team win back-to-back World Cups, she has won two Olympic gold medals and has been named FIFA's Player of the Year twice during her career.
