(Lewes, DE) -- Construction is underway on a new Maintenance Facility at the Lewes Transit Center along state Route one. The project will allow for sustained year-round bus service for eastern Sussex County and is expected to create a few new jobs. It will be completed next summer. Yesterday's ground breaking ceremony also marked the start of DART's daily Beach Bus service. It included the inaugural run of a new route providing weekday express service between Lewes, Milford and Dover.
