Hockessin Added To EPA's Superfund Site List

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is officially committing to cleaning up the Hockessin Groundwater Site in New Castle County.  The EPA announced this week the site is formally being added to Superfund National Priorities List.  The program provides taxpayer dollars for the cleanup of the country's most contaminated sites.  Hockessin was added to the list because groundwater on the 32-acre site has long been contaminated by dry cleaning pollutants.
